List of Active NGOs in Serbia
Sustainable NGO sector depends on the existence of strong NGOs that have the capacity to identify priority needs, mobilize citizens and local resources, and effectively manage projects.
Having that in mind, ProConcept is trying to create the functional database of active NGOs in Serbia. The portal is based on a new NGO classification made by a team of domestic and foreign experts in cooperation with a great number of other NGOs.
We are hoping that an adequate (locally appropriate, locally owned) and comparable (within the region and with other regions) classification of NGOs will contribute to streinghtening of public image of civil society organizations in Serbia, as much as creating the conditions for building partnerships with public instituitions, and creating a web and cooperation with other organizations.
The interactive database should provide NGOs, donors, media and other users an easy access, usefull search tool and fresh information about civil society organizations in Serbia, as well as their primary goals and competencies.
